I have gone to two PAC national meets in the last eight years, but have enjoyed more going to Warren in July for the annual meet there the past four or five years.

PS: Owen tell the fellow that owns the Darrin to make sure that his lug nuts on the car are tight before he drives the Darrin. It seems that he had a major mishap on Route 15 North on the way to Hershey. The left rear fender and white wall tire doesn't look in the best of shape or the fender skirt for that matter.

Looks like the PAC meet at Gettysburg is drawing little interest here.

Robert Neal wrote an article about the inline 12 a few years back. Mr Neal sent me a copy of the article before it was published.

Without looking up the article the 12 was found to have a vibrational problem. After Packard was done testing the car one of the members of the Packard family obtain or purchased the car. The fellow drove it until he was killed in some type of crash which I believed involved an airplane crash. The car was then given back to Packard and destroyed.
The engine was put into a Packard Convertible Victoria Body designed by Dietrich.

I own a 1953 Cavalier which I am sure isn't in the PAC member directory. There were 10,799 Cavaliers produced in 1953.

The Packard is going on the auction block being sold by RM with no reserve. This is what I read over the weekend.

Gerd: Here is one for you. The builder of the plane was killed by Uncle Joe after it crashed.

AL: I think you are being a little heavy handed with Keith especially with the insults.

I know that if I had been out of work for a year I certainly would have put the Clipper Hot Rod on the back burner. Nor would I have even tried making any plans to come north for the PAC meet.

Just 347 days till I retire.
