The terminal designations that you have shown in your illustration are incorrect.
The terminal that you show as B is actually the field terminal and a connection between this terminal and ground is to be expected.
The terminal that you show as F is actually the battery terminal and should not have any connection to ground.

The engine in the photo is a 356, not a 359

Re: ? Will either of these work with my 23 series 327 ???

Neither one.
The Super 8 R-9 has a larger input shaft than your 23rd Series 327 and the 1951 unit is too long to fit properly plus a different rear mount

One other question, with the new bearing the old shim is too thick. So Flackmaster is going to send me some thinner ones. But just to be sure, is there a specified about of play/clearance that is supposed to be there so I know what size shim I need?

Nothing in the 1937 service manual but on pages 22 and 23 of Section III in the 1946-50 Service Manual a pull of 1 to 3 pounds at the outer end of the steering knuckle is specified.
Just adjusting shims for a slight drag should suffice.

The 1941 Dealer Information booklet in the literature archive dated January 1941 shows the same 16 paint schemes for all models including the Clipper.
The only marooni is Laguna Maroon Metallic, Paint scheme E which is also listed for the 1941 Clipper at the front of the 1941 to 1947 Master Parts Book
Two tone combinations are also shown

Made a fix to the Decoder as the database had the starting production number for 1935-1937 Junior Cars as 101 instead of 1001. That has now been fixed.

Canadian production numbers did start with 100 in that time period.

GL-1 is straight mineral oil and is not suitable for the EP requirements of hypoid gear differentials.
GL-3 or GL-4 is OK.

The "U" shaped channel is on the front and rear sides only and ends before the upper curve in the door opening.
The top piece is a flat strip of rubber or felt that the top of the glass presses against when the window is raised. There is no "U" shaped channel on the top side.

Looks like trim code 83 or 84, listed on pages XVIII and XIX of the index for the 1951-54 parts list. It just shows as blue or dark gray nylon combined with light gray nylon.
The code should be stamped on the serial number plate.
