You know, I get Eastwoods mailer every month or so because I bought the buffing wheel and polishes for my bright work (since so much of it is ss steel) but i did not even think about their mainfold paint. I will try it next time.

Wow. You have provided me with lots of experience to fall back on- I after I get the engine satisfactory, I am starting on the chassis and all components. Thanks for the mention of the Lever Shock place in San Diego that is close by for me, so I will use them. Did you replace the rear motor mounts also? Don't they have to be sent in for re-vulcanizing?

Thanks, I will be glad when it is over. (knee surgery)

As for the manifold, I have not been able to find a specific color for exhaust. That may be because the paint never lasted for more than a month or two from the factory. I have seen green, black, grey and the most popular - Rust. I just thought this combination gave good contrast.

I had the manifolds blasted and I am going to try this manifold dressing (the black) from Bill Hirsch. Has anyone used this product? I am curious to see how it holds up.

It is so amazing that this engine only has 33K original miles. It fires right up and runs as smooth as glass.... All work is just cosmetic. I only removed the oil pan, for cleaning and painting... The head has never been removed.

Here is an update on what I have been doing. Things have slowed down a little; I dislocated my knee and will have to have surgery. Anyway, here are a few before and after photos.....
