Well, I have the car. It arrived late on Friday. Car was stored for many years and runs well, I will drop the pan over the winter before I run it much more. I have a small coolant leak, not sure where it is coming from at this point, I need to check on it when I have more time. There is a small switch to the left of the column for the leveler, I shut it off for now, until I can look things over more closly. Brakes need to be rebuilt-So, I have plenty to do, now I just need the time to do it. I will post more pictures soon.

Hi everyone, I just bought this car and don't even have it home yet. The leveling system seems to work on it, I have read about a switch that effects how this system works but don't know if my car has the switch. Did the 55's have the switch? Where would it be located? I will see if I can post some pictures. thanks, Dave

Sorry, reading this quickly. The key just turns on the ignition, when you step on the gas the starter is engaged. Maybe that part of the circuit is missing, the switch on the carb??

I'm not sure if I posted on this before, I just turned 60, so my memory is not what it used to be.

On the subject of headliners, how difficult are they to install? My 22nd series had mice get in the headliner and I can't get rid of the smell. I haven't done anything about it because I am afraid of re-installing the headliner--Any suggestions?

I have one on my 49 Desoto. It was there when I bought the car, has a very thin tube going into the intake and the MMO level slowly goes down so I think it is working. I don't see any ill effects, no excess smoke or fouled plugs. I wouldn't install one but since it was there, I leave it alone except when adding some oil. Interesting conversation piece, I get many questions when I open the hood and they see that attached to the firewall, as I recall it has a light bulb on it, not sure what it does--

There aren't many of these around, you may not get another shot at one, take a chance, make a reasonable offer--

HI, how difficult was it to get the radiator out? I should do it with mine but have been putting it off because I think it will be a bear to get out of there. I'm talking about the weight in actually lifting it out of the car. Do you have any idea what it weighs?
