I would be interested in a tank for my 1940 Super 8 160 - 1377 Convertible Sedan.

Sunday Auto Transport (Thomas C. Sunday) from New Kingstown PA brought my Ferrari from California to Connecticut and did a great job.

I had planned to take the Packard out for a nice drive today but it is way too cold here! The current temperature is in the low 20's and will get down to the low teens tonight. A bit early for that kind of weather. Anyone taking out their Packard for a post-turkey drive?

Tender wire spark
#27
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

I am grappling with an electrical question - The metal nipple on the tender wire coming from my positive ground battery managed to touch the metal door sill, creating a spark and a hot wire. This is something I had never seen from a negative ground battery. When the battery is connected all the way to the tender, there is no problem and it charges well. I called the manufacturer but they just told me to keep the rubber cap on when the tender is not being used so that the metal in the wire would not touch another metal part but did not suggest anything else. Is there any other way to correct this or is it just due to the polarity of the positive ground battery?

Interesting that the rear door of the '46 Packard says Checker Cab Co, even though it is clearly not a Checker... :)

I would also suggest that you speak with individuals who have had their cars restored at different shops to see if they were satisfied by the quality of work and the time it took to get it done. As was mentioned previously, a lot of places have multiple projects going on and are notoriously slow in getting things over the finish line. Here on the east coast, prices are in the range of $100 plus, per hour.
