The CHANGE in two days

A while back I developed 3 compression fractures in my back. 2 weeks ago the docs glued my back back together. I cannot do any heavy lifting or bending over yet.
2 days ago my friend came over. The front- end view of the car changed quite a bit. He worked and I sat and watched, and helped when I could.

I seem to have lost the clips that hold the stainless steel strips on the sidemount side covers for my 1936 120. Does anyone have any for sale or know where I can get any?

What, if any, are the differences between a 1936 and 1937 120 transmission?
What would a decent transmission be worth, approximate guess?
Thank you for any information.

Well, I keep getting things done to the Packard.
I got extensions welded onto the square shafts of the rear door handles to make them long enough and got them installed yesterday.

Today I got the top pads installed and made the rear curtain and put it on the car.

What is left is to install the running board rubber, paint the front fenders and the radiator shell, and paint the 7 wheels, and finish the top and then put it all together.

Here are some photos I took a few days ago of my cars in the driveway. They are the 1916 Model T Ford, the 1936 Packard, the 1962 Thunderbird and the 2000 Corvette roadster. All of the cars are much different from the others.

I bought the car in 2001 and drove it all over. It had a grey exterior with a very old top.
Then I started to do a strip to the metal repaint and a new leather interior to replace the vinyl interior.
Some rusty metal needed to be replaced.
Now it looks like this.
The interior is all done except for the top, which I will make. The painting is almost all done. I can see that I may get it done before I die.

Best glue for running board rubber
#26

I have one running board stripped and the low areas filled with bondo so I can glue the Steele Rubber on. What glue works well over the combination of bare metal and bondo? Should I prime everything first before installing the new rubber?
Tomorrow I will be painting the underside of the running board black and then it will be ready for rubber.
Thank you for all the good advice I have received here.

How I removed running board rubber

Thank you to David Patla for suggesting an air chisel to remove the running board rubber.
One hour with the air chisel and 2 hours with my drill and a 3M paint removal stripping tool and the running board looked like this.
One more to go.

1936 120 running board rubber removal
#28

I decided my next project would be replacing the rubber on the running boards and painting the underside of them.

Is there any easy was to remove very old, hard rubber from the running boards? Right now I am using a hammer and chisel.

Also, the new running board rubber, which came with the car when I bought it in 2001, has the raised longitudinal ribs in the rubber, and the back of the rubber is flat. My running boards have the raised longitudinal ridges in them. They are not flat. Do I need new rubber, or can I fill in between the ridges on the running boards, making them flat, and install the rubber?

Or, can I cut out the ridges and weld in new metal, making the running boards flat and install the rubber I have?

The color is a stock 1936 120 color. Itis called Trianon Green Metallic. I have a set of paint chips for the 1936 120 and had the local paint store mix up a batch for me.

I keep working on redoing the paint and upholstery on my Packard. The rear section upholstery is all installed. All the front upholstery is made, ready to install, except the front carpet. I also need to make the top and the top boot.
Today the rear fenders were put on, making the rear of the car look complete. I still need to finish stripping the front fenders and paint them, plus paint one hood section and the radiator shell, and paint the underside of the running boards, and paint the wheels.
Hopefully I will be driving it by the end of summer.
