So flat side facing exhaust manifold? That is facing down.

Shoot, I put it the other way!
Oh well, worst that can happen is I have a ton of exhaust leaks and I get to take off and reinstall the manifold gaskets. I am not used to working on cars so taking off and reinstalling the exhaust manifolds was misersble. Using a torque wrench in those spaces is almost impossible. Lol!

What would you say the chances of things not going good are?

Which exaust gasket set would you use, the NOS one or the James? Also, the gaskets have one side that seems to have a little more body to it. Is there a way these gaskets need to be installed?

Thanks for such a quick reply Ross... How do I know if the set screw is in proper position? I can't find anything in manual about this...

Ross and Howard, which spot in the pic should I be drilling through to install roll pin? Red, green or blue? Thanks for the help!

Guys I know this might be a stupid question but what do you torque the highlighted items to? I tried to tighten the gas tank straps to 30lb/ft but I stopped because it seemed like the top of the tank was going to start to dent from those standoffs on the bottom of the trunk. The astrisks is throwing me of, I read what it means but my dumb ass doesnt understand what exactly it means. I take it as "tighten it up but use caution".... Thanks for the help guys.

Ok I will check this out and add a roll pin... thanks for the offer Rick, I will let you know what I find...

Are there supposed to be this many open holes on the bottom? Just didn't know if I am missing any plugs?

I will be dropping the Transmission pan today when I get home, is there anything I should plan on checking while it is down? All I plan on doing is cleaning the filter and rebuttoning it up with a new gasket. Any tips, tricks or anything to look out for? Thanks!
