Hoping to start a blog on my current acivities with my 1956 Packard 400. Im in Australia so parts take a while to get here. My car is in the owners registry, Its a real project. It came from a boneyard in the Mojave Desert but was originally drlivered to Elryia Ohio.
The car had no engine or transmission and is missing many parts which had been stripped off. I bought it off a Hot Rodder who wasnt bothered by such trivial concerns. I have since aquired a 56 Executive 352 engine.

My short term goal is just to tidy the car up rather than do a full resto. Enjoy it as a museum piece.

My wife and i went to the Studebaker annual concurs as it was nearby. pity it rained so it was in an undercover car park. There was one 58 Packard , which has an interesting history. The new third owner has had it on a few weeks , bought it from Victoria, Australia. First owner was the Greek consul in Sydney, fittingly the colour scheme is that of the national flag of Greece.
Sorry about the photos , taking them undercover , with bright lights overhead was difficult. Also in photos is a 58 Studebaker for comparison.

Packard Downunder,

I own the "Flamingo" car now, but the paint code is MK. But I'm sure the colour is Flamingo! It has a clipper hood , and also came with a clipper rear bumper.
Gary said it came from Lucern Valley and had been sitting in the Mojave desert for a while. The shipping document I bought on ebay says it was trucked originally to Elyria OH, hence the underseat heater and no aircon.

Thanks for your photos. I'd appreciate some more if you have them.

Anyone,
I'm looking for a driveshaft?

Wayne
