The 5th and 7th series are all but identical chassis wise, other than engine related stuff of course.

I only live a half hour away, and this will be my first trip. The wife is giving me much time latitude, so I will be there Wednesday-Friday at least, to include at least one auction. Time latitude yes, financial latitude, not so much,
![]() For the experts, where should I park, and should I take the Packard...., silly question, I suppose. Perhaps the truck the first day for the loot, and the Clipper after that for the joy!

works in progress!
Frame cleaned up and with a couple coats of primer. No finish coats until the wood/ body are done, and ready for permanent attachment. Flintstone car complete, with any luck the body goes back on tomorrow!! I just had to throw in a "before" frame pic as well.

Greetings all,
I have blasted, filled, and primed the frame. Now it is time to get it back under the body to continue with the wood reconstruction. I have a question as to the structure, I need to accurately represent the frame as it will be when actually on the springs, in order to get the body fit correct. My question is this. Does this picture (proposed frame cart) provide enough support as to not flex the frame, or do I need to use all 8 bearing points? I also plan to include lateral support to the cart, so the question is more about frame rigidity. Yes, I know that it is upside down, I am just going over some ideas, and this represents a very convenient way to build the cart. Any thoughts?

My current system is "total loss", no changing required, just add a quart every 75 miles!
![]() Ok, so not ideal, no expensive oil for me until I find and repair my leak!

New(ish) to me 1955 Clipper Constellation. Untested, Untried, few tools, and little sense. Today roughly 250 miles, another 250 by Sunday. Very little problem - she didn't want to start once, but I just asked her nicely and she eventually gave in.
17 MPG, 3.5 qts oil (I don't think that it is smoking, so I will have to look for a leak when I get back) Now to a question. Rear seat belt installation: Is there a standard anchor point? The kids are not allowed another ride until Mom has seen and approved rear seatbelts (front are installed) Rain water all flowin' all under my hood - I knew it was doin' my motor good!

From what I understand, an accessory should not be judged negatively if absent. I have seen many a tool kit and other accessories, but always believed that that was more an owner desire, than a judging criteria.
But of course, I have two basket cases and a "used car" driver.

I have a good friend who is obsessed about all things OE tool kits. He lives within 1/2 hour of Hershey and sets up a huge display every year. I can ask him to keep a look out for your specific tool kit, but I would guess that he would know, (and have) what you lack, right off the top of his head.
