I created a list of all of the bulbs for my '48 Packard (should be the same for the '49 & '50 as well). Do any of you have the actual bulb #s? All 6V of course.

Front Parking Lamp Bulb X 2
Front Courtesy Lamp Bulb X 2
Glove Box Lamp Bulb
Dash - High Beam Indicator Lamp Bulb
Dash - Flasher Bulb
Dash - Instrument Cluster Bulb X8
Ignition Switch Lamp Bulb
Dash - Instrument Switch Panel - Switch Identification Lamp Bulb
Dash - Instrument Switch Panel - Indicator Lamp Bulb
Rear Reading Lamp Bulb
Trunk Lamp Bulb
Rear Direction Signal Light Bulb X 2
Rear Tail Lamp / Brake Lamp Bulb X 2
License Lamp Bulb
Backup Lamp Bulb

Thank you very much

The Wiring for the '49 '50 Rear Seat (Rear Courtesy switches, Rear Cigar Lighter, Rear Reading lamp/Switch), were these standard for the Packard or extra? Same question for the '48.

Trunk Lamp Assembly

How can I disassemble the Trunk Lamp from a '50 Packard without damaging the unit? I have tried to pull the sleeve off the back so I can replace the wiring, but it seems to be frozen.

He is going with the alternator. The harness was built for 6V, and will remain that way.

Thanks for responding.

I am nearly complete building a complete '48 Wire Harness. My customer just informed me that he wants 12V instead of 6V. Who out there knows which wires I need to pull from my harness, and what new ones I need to add?

Re: 48 Packard Oooga Horn

Thanks for your informative response. I assumed that 4 wires went to the relay, and now you have me guessing. I am creating a wire harness for a customer and he asked at the last minute to add wires for an Oooga Horn. He said he already has the Horn in-hand, so I just e-mailed him asking questions regarding his relay and about how many wires go to his horn button.

Thanks a bunch. I will let you know if I have more questions after I find out the details.

48 Packard Oooga Horn
#29
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Johnny
My father asked that I install an Oooga horn in his '48. I have found many diagrams on how to do this... very simple, but...

I can not figure how to wire in the new button.

One wire goes from the Button to the relay. Where does the other wire go? One diagram shows it going to the Ignition Switch, but a wire from the Relay goes to Battery Pos, so it has its power.

I am leaving the existing horn, and adding a separate circuit for the Oooga horn.

Help please.
