A 3.06 to 1 1st gear should help along with overdrive.

Thanks for the look. Flexplate had no spec. Searched this forum and found a post that said 25 ft lbs. Do you have other information?
Thanks

It will fit well. It's shorter so no angling trans to fit in x brace. Seems stock cross member won't need much modification. Yes the trans is old. Came from a parted out 97 gm truck that rotted out.

You might have better luck posting this on the prewar section.

Sorry no pictures but the starter is in and the transmission is ready to be installed. Next update will be bolting in the trans and seeing if the existing cross member will work.

With 1 1/8 bolts the flywheel is in. The starter is tough to get in but doable a long 3/16" allen wrench helps. On bolts for flywheel blue loctite and 25 ft pounds.

The flywheel bolts have less than 3/16ths engagement maybe 3 threads on the crankshaft hub. Hub is 3/8ths. Getting longer bolts. Original bolts engaged full 3/8ths.
Supplied bolts are 31/32. I will go 1-1/8.

I have started the 4L60e install. I am posting about it here:
https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=23921 I am also doing a full rear suspension rebuild and will post about that too. On the front disc brakes I am waiting for redrilled F150 rotors to arrive.

Next the actual bellhousing adapter gets attached. I will have another update Tuesday. Then will be new flywheel and new starter.
