My friend is getting a 54 Packard delivered Tuesday and it's going to be about 15 degrees, the shipper already said the car won't start as the battery is weak. I guess either put a new one in or try and jump start as he has to drive it i mile to his house. How do you jump start these 6 volt cars without another one?

I know a man that is selling a 39 Packard 110 conv. coupe. I've seen it and it's in a solid #3 condition with new top bows and a new top. It's really a nice car and a strong #3 car. He wants $34K and that's a huge buy for me as I don't have any Packards but would like this one. Advise on the price please. I don't have photos but advise as best as you can from the strong #3 condition. Thank you.

THanks for the quick pic. I like the 55 better just by the looks but that's just me. I also like a 55 Crown Vic better than a 56 so maybe I'm just stuck in 1955--HA!

Well, after reading this, now I want to see an all white Caribbean just out of curiosity-HA!

Which is considered more desirable? The 55 or 56 Caribbean conv.?

First off I'm no Packard guru for sure but I like them. I was looking at my neighbors 39 120 sedan with the hood open and where in the heck do you add water/antifreeze to the radiator? I didn't ask him because he was inside and I had to go before he came back out.

Owen,

Are you saying the interior is acceptable as it is?

Also, I know for a fact the engine is completely rebuilt and in excellent condition detailed to the nine!

I really appreciate responses like this because I always learn something new! Even with the things you point out this car is really very nice. When I post the photos of the engine I think you'll agree. Do you think I'm overzealous with my price estimate? Again, I know it to be a strong #2 car. It was a nut & bolt frame off restoration with nothing overlooked.

bkazmer,

are you saying it has a jr. dash in it? Is the dash not correct for the 160 model? I'm not as learned as many of you.
