Here is someone that we've used for conversions. He is very good.

Gary Tayman
http://www.taymanelectrical.com/

He is in Florida and have been happy with the conversions he has done. He can also do bluetooth,HD,USB and other additions to the standard conversion.

Don't feel bad. You owe nobody an apology. It's your car, you're building if for your dad.

Now somebody else has the chance to own Jack Palance's Chassis & engine. Believe it or Not.

Just for the sake of documentation, I am uploading the pictures from the ebay listing from comment#17 so in the future there is a frame of reference.

The ebay seller is "paulaciena"

It looks like a stepdown Hudson after the chop. Which is a compliment.

I think the chop of the top was done very well. While I like the original body lines, this custom roof line looks really nice.

Considering the condition of the 4 door before the work done to it, that car probably would have gone to the crusher. I'd rather see a tastefully done custom Packard than see it recycled into a Washer & dryer or Refrigerator.

Well, I purchased my Packard in 1999. Wife nicknamed it Jean-Luc Packard around that time. It's never run. Hasn't moved more than 100 feet in all those years.

We enjoyed the Star Trek Series, but not enough to wear costumes and go to conventions.

I believe there is an episode where Captain Picard is in the holodeck and is pretending to be a 1930's detective and he mentions a Packard automobile.
