If you want it you can still purchase genuine tetraethyl lead as a solution in gasoline. I use it in my 56 Caribbean which is particulary octane-sensitive. If you want it, contact Jack Podell, he advertises regularly in Hemmings and elsewhere. But if you use it, note that it's very toxic, wear impermeable gloves, don't touch you skin, and wash up thoroughly afterwards.

Packard called this body style (1099) a convertible coupe. By the commonly accepted definition a roadster doesn't have roll-up windows but all car makers Packard included were occasinally free and loose with their body type descriptions.

The body style 1099 as shown on eBay is listed on this site as a 120 Convertible Coupe. Body styles 1019 (Super Eight), and 1038 (Twelve) are listed as Coupe Roadsters.

In any case, it's a real looker.

Is that a true roadster or a convertible???? I didn't look at the pics real close. What year was the last Packard roadster????? I was thinking 1935 for the last roadster.

I used Terrill Machine recently for several replacement parts for my 356 engines. I received really good, fast service from them.
