Re: 1941 160 help identify front end parts

I thought it may have something to do with the wheel carrier in the fender but I tried to put it into the holes in the fender for the wheel carrier support and it is to large to go in to the holes. I dont know if theres away to get a picture but I tried to click on various things for that parts book and could not get a picture.

the second picture is for the front bumperettes I checked the rear and those are on but the front bumper is apart and off the car so they must be for the front so that picture is solved. 1 down 2 to go

1941 Packard horn

I have tried to make the horns sound by hooking power and ground from battery to horns with jumper cables bypassing regulator and all it dose is make a sound like a click. The horns have been sitting a very long time. any secret to making them work. I have had others like this over the years and tried several things but could never get them to work.

1941 160 Running again
Home away from home
Home away from home

Got the engine running again. The carb was flooding so I took that apart and freed up the float. It sounds surprisingly good and smooth .Let it run a while and most of the marvel mystery oil is burned out of the cylinders. The coil died about 10 minutes in when it was running put another one on that I had laying around and it fired back up.The oil pressure is 40 psi hot.And the radiator Did not run hot.It had an old atlas battery in it I will try to add a picture. The generator was not charging if you have any Ideas let me know. The guy that i bought this off of said his dad stopped working on the car in 1954 or 1955.The best thing about the car is it was inside a nice garage the entire time. Thanks again for the help

1941 160 starting engine after sitting for years
Home away from home
Home away from home

29tons
Before starting the engine I was thinking of pressure feeding oil into the engine and putting oil down the cylinders and turning it by hand. I turned the engine about a quarter turn by hand and it seems a little stiff. the engine was supposed to be rebuilt and run but the restoration was never finished and its been sitting a long time. Should I do anything else?
