My own cross reference list has these:
1951-1956 rear Napa 11146 1951-1954 front Napa 11146 In other words, they are all the same for 1951-1954 Packard and Packard Clipper models. For reference, 1948-1954 Henney-Packard uses these which are apparently the same as other 22nd and 23rd series models: Napa UP 4497 front and rear

In spite possibly having been discussed many times, I for one didn’t see those posts as there is too much here to red absolutely everting so great to have a “refresher” about it.

The heater seals are original but all those I’ve ever seen on unrestored cars are bubbly like Kevin’s as they didn’t age well.
The seat belts look great and I’ll have to find a couple sets. Likely those for my 1954 Patrician will also be blue while those in my 1956 Clipper will either be gray or black.

I’ve never filled it through the hole (if my car even has one - I do not believe it does) as carpet doesn’t simply lift off. It is far more effort doing it that way than from underneath! However, when I added a bit to my 1954 Patrician a while back just to get enough in it for it to move under its own power, it was outside in the gravel. I managed to get it up enough to put some in but it wasn’t easy at all! Problem was, the car backed out easily and drove over to the parking area in the shade under its own power (sluggishly) but would not go forward at all after that.

The last stuck engine that I un-stuck wasn’t a Packard but in that case it was primarily the rods that had somehow glued themselves to the crank journals and piston pins that wouldn’t move. I had never seen that happen before and, as it was a V8 where there was no straight and direct route out for the pistons and not being able to turn the crank to get them aligned, it took ages.
Point is, some persistence might be required on your Custom and possibly taking the rod cap off to add some lubrication there. You can also sometimes pump oil into the galley to get it in where it might not be now.

Maybe a sea captain owned it. As for the running board delete, this car appears to have simply had them cut off as there is no rocker cover that would normally be there with the delete option. Given the other modification, it would not surprise me.

It's looking great! You can get the foam seals for the heater outlets at Home Depot. Lowes or just about any hardware store. It is sold in packages or by the foot in different diameters and is used for insulating pipes.

I believe that all the brake springs are listed in the parts cross-reference area and can be purchased at Napa or other local shops. Failing that, the parts vendors sell them as kits although not necessarily in the proper colors.

That’s why I do all work of this nature myself and it’s not difficult. As for turning the drums, it is not done by default. If you tell them to put in shoes, they will put in shoes! If you want it done properly, you have two choices: do it yourself or take it to a shop that specializes in vintage cars and what I do is to do the “grunt work” myself but take in the drums to be turned.
Having said that, I have never arced shoes but the anchor adjustments are another story and should always be done when changing shoes. However, few shops know about it as it wasn’t done on ‘60s and later cars.
