There is no such manual in the literature section as the '49 book only refers to the 23rd series. There may or may not be changes from the '48 22nd series manual. I scanned the '49 booklet but can not submit it as I keep getting a 'no access' message upon clicking on submit which is why I asked where to send the pfd file.

I can't seem to find such a manual under the PDF files and those I do are different from my car. Am I correct in that there is no such manual in the archives?
Should I scan my manual and send it somewhere?

Most of my bumper chrome has been redone but the piece around the right front parking light was left out as it was broken. It is apparently easily removed with a few screws. Where can I find a new one or have this fixed?

I have no idea what this pull-push thingy to the left of my steering column is supposed to do. Can't find it in the manual either. There also is this screw type thing next to it. What is this?

So many Freds here. It could get confusing.
Congratulations on your choice. I would have made the same. the '48 Packard was the first car I ever owned and first cars are like our women. I married the first 55 years ago and now I have the car too. Fred in Naples, Florida

Well, the photo was taken just after one of our Florida cloudbursts while driving to my first show participation. As the first drops fell I quickly pulled over to see if my top would come down and by the time I managed that task I and the car was soaked and the rain had stopped. We then pulled into the bonus area (non-judging) of the AACA Winter Meet here in Naples and got the top down again and pulled the chairs out to relax a bit and someone suggested a picture. It was still dark and gloomy out so the colors don't shine but it was a pivotal moment in my dream of getting my first car back from my youth. I couldn't afford to keep fixing it back in the 50s and had to let it go for scrap. That action has been bothering me ever since and I had to fix it.
Here she is after a complete do-over as I'm picking her up from the shop. FINALLY. Attach file: (96.16 KB)
