Those skirts are looking good..
My Car is Gray. When I cleaned the inner panels the only color I found was black in the groves and under the original rubber.

I Got a check on the splash rubber trim today.

It appears that my 2" was the width I started with and the actual clearance between frame and tin is about 1/2 " .

Hope this gets to you soon enough.

Was GREAT seeing the car out moving..

Took mine on a 85 mile ride today through Kitsap county Washington.

These ar pictures of a mount spacer used to adjust seats in GM products.
They come in two diffrent thickness.
I needed a longer bolt and double end stud to allow installation.

To ALL ,
Thanks for the comments here and on FB.

I'm giong to try to post a Power point on the project.

We started after 2 January 22 and installed the front seat Thursday the 26th of January 2023 and took it for a 10 mile drive.

This PP coverd the project from start to finish. 98%
Still need to finish the sunvisors , hand grabs, rearview mirror.
.
So File was TOO big.

Here is a viewable link to the document.
Hope it works.

So Here goes, Highlight the entire link and copy paste in search.

Bottom line.. This is not a project to be taken lightly...

Now we understand why interiors are so expensive. !

The graph paper is 1" square.

I can't remember If I had a good shot of the finished on the graph paper.

If I femember
The firewall end passenger side was a little long and needed trimming both in length and heigth.

I picked up an origial style flat one from Steele Rubber.

Note : this unit is supposed to have a bit of slide to the bolt holes based on original installation.

Note the wear pattern on the washer and flat steel.

There is a "lip" on the washer that allows the snubber to be tightly bolted in but due to the limited contact area it allows the snubber to move in relation to the teansmission / engine movement.

If you do not have the washers let me know,

There are GM Seat mounts that are a little thicker rewuiring a longer stud that I used on my installation that I can take a picture and post.

do a drill fit on your holes, I think I over drilled for the 3/16 to get a good fit since I egged a couple of holes when I drilled out the factory rivets.
Either will work since you will be backing the rubber side with a washer and the flair will sinch the rivete to the metal.
Your local hardware store ( ACE ) in my area may have these in their binsand you can buy the items EA insted of by the 50's or 100's.

Yes they were designed to be removed an installed with fenders in place.
I believe this was expecially true on the passenger side for the periodic valve adjustments.

I made the inner panels, mounted the fenders and grill then the panels.

By doing it in that order I was not fighting the little adjustments on the holes that were needed while installing the fenders.

NOTE: the holes for the brake lines and headlight wiring as these can be an issue.
