Hi Pat! My grandfather actually came from Cork (1898). Somehow stumbled onto Sheeran's Thatched Pub while surfing the net (I don't even remember what it was that I was looking for). If I can arrange it, I DEARLY want to visit Ireland, hopefully sometime this summer, and stopping in at "my family" pub is high on my to do list! Thanks again for your video posts. I've enjoyed them all! Maybe I'll be able to buy you a pint sometime....

OK, now I feel real dumb. Just read Your particular's. Galway! Just wondering, have You ever been to Sheeran's Thatched Pub in Laois?

Thanks for the tour of Irish countryside in Your Packard! I played it twice! I'm hoping to visit sometime this year, I'll have to look You up! By the way, what county are You in?

Owen, she has the Delco setup. No click, no engagement, nothing, and then the next try, VOOM, there she goes! This problem just surfaced the other day. I checked my switch that I put in, works fine. Checked the voltage at the battery, then the starter solenoid, same thing. FRUSTRATED!
I'm going to pull the relay off of the carb and check that.

As some know, I've been re-working my fuel system. All of a sudden, my starter wouldn't engage. (This was only after a couple of tries, I usually have to hit the starter AT LEAST a half dozen times when she's cold). Then, it would engage, then it wouldn't. At my wits end now, has anyone else suffered anything similar? If so, what did you do to rectify the problem? Thanks again,

Scott

Tell me, when was the last time a politician ACTUALLY DID something for the populace that didn't have "please read fine print" attatched to it? I've had nothing but problems with my fuel system and its all because of this rotten ethanol business! (See my postings listed under "problems with modern gas"). I don't forsee anything changing for the better anytime soon. I figure it this way folks, these problems are going to continue to build like a snowball until ALL of our antique and classic vehicles are nothing more than museum pieces that never will run again. No, WE DON'T HOLD WITH IT, but hey, who are WE? Just honest, hard working, tax paying individuals (no matter what country you happen to live in). I'll bet that quite a few of you out there are veterans as well!

This white substance IS what I've been finding. Needless to say, I'm going to start adding Sta-Bil for any time period of longer than thirty days without driving my baby. Going to the parts store today and I'm buying new fuel lines. I'm going to re-route my system and make it easier to get to and more dependable as well. More news in the future!

Just picked up my new fuel pump and hose yesterday. Looking forward to a bit a decent weather so I can start replacing things!

Apparently, the ethanol in today's fuels disintegrate normal rubber products, so I'm constantly going to be replacing things unless I change my lines to all metal, and replace the diaphram type pump I have with a rotary. Ain't things just grand? Oh, yes, my tank has been cleaned and purged. Thanks guys!
