Thanks!!!!!! I will send them an email. I bought a used radiator today for about what scrap price would be on it and will try it when it gets here. Have run out of leads here in the US for a core that is not thousands 000000000 of dollars.

Rad is in our local shop now so I cannot measure it. Should have kept those measurements last time I measured it. Did speak with the shop referenced above today and they sometimes cut the top out of one core to add to another. My shop guy is calling them to discuss. That fellow seemend confident something reasonable could be done. Pity he is in KS and I am in TN. I have a good shop here and hopefully we will find a core or solution.

Functional is what I want. That is why I prefer the flat tube. Problem is that the top of the core is radius shaped so a no name core by size will not work. Original is honeycomb which I want to get away from. Core is hid behind shtters so will not be too visable.

Need a new flat tube radiator core for a 29 626. Does anyone have a good honest source. I have called one major radiator mfg for the antique trade and he put a gun to my head. Know the core will be expensive but not what he asked.

This is exactly what has beeen bugging me. My 29 has a tag on the firewall that matches the title, a different number on the steering gear and a different number on the frame........... Have been wondering is these needed to be restamped or what. Is there any official documentation that explains the different numbers. Have not been able to fine a number on the engine.

Checked and do not see it. It is possible it might be under the fender....

Where is the engine number on a 6th series? I have looked all over the alum. block on the oil filler side and see no numbers.

After having read thru this thread and seen the pictures below, I have a question. Is it possible for a car to have a theft proof number, tag vin number, frame stamped serial number and steering gear stamped serial number (1929 6th series)all different with the firewall tag number being the title vin number? Should the frame serial number be the same as the firewall tag number?

I have a hot air heater on my 26 Model T touring that has a register in the front and back floors. It is made in such a way as the design could be incorporated in most any vehicle and it is absolutely safe. Here is how it is made. It has a large diameter flex tube about 3+" that you fit over the exhaust pipe after removing the muffler to get it on. There are two alum. end pieces that split and fit around the exhaust pipe and the flex pipe, these are held together with 1/4" screws. Rear piece has a opening that corresponds to a pipe running down from the register. Front end piece comes apart the same way, has a hole corresponding to the top register and an additional forward aimed 45 degree pipe. A flex pipe is attached to that elbow and runs up to the front of the motor behind the fan where it has a funnel shaped end to catch air. System works great and cannot ingest exhaust fumes. It was made by the Kunkel Manufacturing Co. Hart MI.
