I want to add an external digital temp gauge on my 37 115. I want to hide the gauge out of obvious sight. Has anyone added one of these and have any suggestions what works the best , etc.

37 Packard 115 Steering issue continued
#32
Home away from home

awhile back I was asking about excessive play in the steering of my 37 115 Club Sedan. The other day I jacked up the front end enough to lift the front tires off of my garage floor. I was going to adjust the box but there was virtually no room for adjustment. I placed one of the steering wheel spokes at the 6:00 position. When turning the steering wheel from that point it moved about 4 to 4.5 inches before the wheels started to turn. I'm not sure where to go from here. The center crank bearing was replaced about 200 miles with no effect on the sloppy steering.

Material type used on the foot rest of 41 Packard

I am completing the new interior of my 41 160 sedan. The upholsterer and I seem to differ on one part of the project. To me the foot rest that attaches to the bottom of the front seat appears to me to be mohair. He thinks it's a fine napped carpet. My question, is it carpet or mohair. Also what did Packard use to cover the blanket cord on the back of the front seat ? Thanks for any help with this.

41 Seat Adjuster

My 41 has an issue with the front seat adjuster. The lever on the side of the seat at the bottom has some type of heavy wire that connects to the adjuster in which the seat mounts to. The wire is gone on mine. My question is can I make this or is there something unique about the wire ? Looks to me as it is a straight link from the lever to the adjuster. Thank you

Both of my Packards leak at the rear seal. My 37 has been rebuilt recently and it leaks so much that I have a drip pan underneath it. Really frustrating. Don't know what you do to stop the leaking

The skip is only under acceleration I 1st and 2nd gear. Idle is smooth. I am goIng to ohm out the plug wires. Not sure what the life of solid wires are but I can eliminate one more thing by doing this. I also feel I may have an issue with the carb. accelerator pump but will need to do more research to determine this.

Slight skip in 37 six

I have replaced the engine in my 37 including all new tune up parts and plugs. When I start out in 1st gear and at the beginning of 2nd gear I feel a very slight skip . I replaced the plugs temporarily with another new set just to see if I possibly acquired a faulty plug but no difference. Compression is excellent. Engine only has 120 miles since the rebuild. Any suggestions where to go next? Thank you.
