VN tells you its a 56 Patrician.2107 tells you it was the 107th one made.Thief proof number will never match. See Owen's posts regarding this number and its meanings.

I believe OD has the original owners dash plaque on his 56 Caribbean.

Had the same problem with my 56 Patrician. The previous owner used the override switch to operate the load leveler. When I got the car, the motor worked but nothing happened. It appears that the override also overrides the limiter switch. In my case, the gear box basically destroyed itself.Replaced the gear box and motor, fixed all the other issues that he never bothered to and now it works as it should.

There are not many people today who were around when Packard's roamed the roads as new and old used cars.Has anyone from PI has ever considered a merger with PAC?

I would send my fuel pump to J Gould for a rebuild and the wiper motor to Ficken wiper service for the same.

I saw the 46 Custom Super Clipper when I went over to the house to look at his 54 Convertible. I bought the 54 and if I had another 30K, I would have jumped on the 46. It is one of the nicest Custom Supers I have ever seen. It's also a full CCCA classic. It runs as good as it looks and the interior is original and in fantastic condition.

That might explain your problem.Whitepost is not really knowledgeable when it come to the BTV.You should have sent it to Ed Strain in Florida. He is the expert and he has all the parts needed-even those not included in the standard rebuild kits you see for sale.

Yes.if you read any books about Packard, the TT ,was one of their big problems in 1956. Almost all TT failed and Packard lost a fortune on the warranty replacements-many of these also failed. I understand that all the bugs were gone after 56.
