Thank you for the pictures Guscha! I found the 1st picture interesting in that the right headlight was removed and only showing a wire. Then looking at the others photos, the siren was placed in that bucket while the left was the focused beam of most war vehicles.

I guess Hollywood did not do this in later movies, they mounted the siren on or near the front bumper.

Also interesting is the black object mounted on the bumper bracket in picture #1, was this a fog lamp or other light? The other photos are no large enough to show this.

Thanks again.

Maybe we could contact the Sapulpa, OK Police Dept to put an APB for a new Packard in town?

I'm about an hour away from Brassworks and there are a lot of local guys who have bragged about there work quality. The only thing I have heard is they are slow but that could be because they are busy.

Your one of the lucky ones,LTR Decide.

I'd like to hear the song.

The jingle was interesting too.

Did check out the chords and lyrics for the Jimmy Buffet song. There is some confusion with the lyrics some have listed as Packard others have as "pack gear". But the song is about life on the islands and my guess is they are talking about a Packard marine engine on the shrimp boats.

It struck me today while listening to the radio, has there ever been a song recorded with Packard in it? The song can either be specific about Packard or just mentioned in the lyrics. John Lee Hooker sang about his Terraplane.

I would be interested to see the responses.

Maybe someone has an idea? I can just hear Alan Jackson or Brooks and Dunn singing a song about driving the back roads in their (whatever year) Packard.

I enjoyed reading the article and it was great to see Packards represented in a national magazine. Again, thanks for contacting Hagerty
