Ok all the rest of the windows work. What I finally figured out was there has to be a part that hooks to the piston arm to the window that has become separated. I found a c clip but that looks like one that is on the bottom of the piston. But it just doesn't look like it could fit anywhere on the arm.

Hello Howard,

So to answer your question. I did put the passenger side down but that was it. I'll be back at it tomorrow and will give you a full update .

I was out on tour and had the drivers side front window drop. (Of course in a heavy rain) so after getting it up and secured via my MacGyver skills. I continued the tour. When I arrived home it took off the door panel and released the window from the rail. After getting the rail back on the rollers and reinstalled the window. I realized It wasn't aligned. But it still won't work. HELP!!! I find info on crank up windows but not hydraulic .

You guys have been great in the past I'm hoping you come through again.
Thanks in advance

J

So my top is actually quite slow in raising. I'm thinking it might be down in hydraulic fluid. I've search this site to see what information I can find but I'm lost. Anyone have any links or info you can point me to. Thanks.

So I have been looking around for 1950 super 8 door rotating lock for the passenger side. I've seen them on eBay and the prices are all over. Are they different sizes? Thanks for any advice.

I have eight 1948 custom 8 and when I received the car this piece was in the trunk. What is it and where does it go?

Window Channel

Last year I had the drivers front side window break. So being the end of the season I decided I would hold off till now. Since I had to have a new window lift bar I would also replace the window run channel for that door. I keep reading that you have to be very careful about any screw heads being to high. Has anyone does this and how did you work it all out. My first thought was to use 3m weather stripping cement. Any advise?

Thanks

John
