1937 120c Exhaust System

I'm looking into purchasing a stainless steel exhaust system for a 1937 120C. I see one vendor supplies a muffler and resonator and another vendor supplies just a muffler without a resonator. Any comments on which is the better way to go? Obviously the one without the resonator is less $$.

I have a Packard Clipper NOS passenger side rear door. I'm not exactly sure of the years it fits but I think it looks like 1941 thru 1947 The part number on the Packard tag and stenciled on the door 376546. It does have a minor dent on the top and bottom front, someone must have dropped it at one time, very easily repaired. Price is $100. Local pickup in Southampton, Ma. 01073, or free delivery to Hershey. Tel. # 413-687-5595

Hello, I was wondering if the Abelove car parts auction is going to be scheduled in the near future? Flackmaster may have some knowledge of this?

Glad it worked for you, I did mine last year using the air chisel and it also worked well.

I used an air chisel with a narrow chisel that fit between the grooves. This worked very well, had the rubber off in no time.

Hello Flackmaster, I was wondering on car #3 the 1935 Pierce Arrow, would the hubcaps, the medallion that goes on the bottom of the grill shell, the radiator ornament the "Archer", and the headlight lenses be included with the purchase? I spoke with one of the attendants at the viewing and he mentioned someone connected with the auction has them? If not included, are they available for purchase afterwards? These are very difficult parts to find that's why I'm asking?

I agree, the commission is the highest I've ever seen, and also agree on carrying that amount of cash, they'll kill you for a lot less than 50K. I'm sure it's also a hazzle getting that much cash from a bank?

I would try a product called "Q-Bond", it is an ultra strong adhesive powder that you add a harderner to and is rock hard in 10 seconds.Just overlap it on the back side of the panel and the chrome center piece and no drilling needed. It is available at many auto parts stores and I'm sure online. I've used it in similair situations and was very pleased with it.

Try Penn-Dutch Restoration Services located on 100 Commerce Dr., Glen Rock, PA. 17327. They reproduce the entire top bows for 1937 Junior Packards, not sure if they make any parts for 1940?
