Another Twelve (with interesting side mirrors), displayed at the EXOTICA, a vintage car rally in Moscow. It was labeled with "1933 Packard, 160 instead of 180 horsepower".

Welcome to the PackardInfo puzzle corner, admission is free, any possible revenues will be used for the benefit of PackardInfo.com, the most comprehensive free online reference for Packard owners, supported and funded by user donations.

Riddle 3: What car is that?
Tell us its name to play for free. The frame ranges from a 1897 electric carriage built by Earl C Anthony to the 1958 Studebaker-Packard station wagon. Be sure that I'll try to give you a hard fight to maximize the outcome. But I promise, that the car we are looking for has a distinctive design. It is unmistakable! Serveral photographs of this very car are available on PackardInfo.com.

Rules (please read carefully)

A) That is a game for up to four players in which each player on a separate field tries to solve the common riddle. Four players, four fields (please see sample line-up).

B) Every single field consists of twelfe numbered pieces of puzzle (please see sample quarter) and hides a separate photograph. The four different photographs have been taken of the same car.

C) A virtual dice shaker will pass around. Its random number generator is a twelve sided die and will tell us which piece of puzzle has to be revealed in your quarter.

--> to roll dice

D) The colors of the photographs have been inverted (please see sample pic with inverted colors).

E) Every player has one roll in each round. Every roll costs 50?.

F) Every player has 24 hours to dice, otherwise he will lose one turn (but no money). You can drop-out any time you want.

G) Be fast, when you know the solution of the riddle. First come, first served. The losers have to pay for the winner!

I've bought an old postcard in ebay, showing the Exposicion Sovietica de Ciencia, T?cnica y Cultura". So far so good. It was listed as printed in 1966 in Mexico but the golden grille is telling me that the Chica Chaika has been built in 1959. Therefore I believe the pictures have been taken around 1960, either in Mexico or at the identically named fair in Havana. The building in the background is labeled with [Secretar]"...ia de Edu..."[caci?].

Re: NON Packard club foolishness

On Monday last week the secretaries conversed about a Romanian gang of thieves, allegedly armed car burglars under command of a blonde gypsy woman. Ok, a blonde gypsy woman, I figured let them gossip, tomorrow they will talk about an abominable snowman with green nose.
But on Wednesday the gang of gypsies again were on top of all topics. They meanwhile had mutated to a sanguinary group of escaped galley slaves which paint the town red and the long-legged blonde acted as lure. I thought, next day one will add three saber-tooth tigers and Friday could be a suitable firedrake-day.
On Friday I received a call from the security service: "Sir, do you expect visitors? A blonde woman is waiting next to your car." I jestingly replied "A long-legged gypsy woman?" and to my utter astonishment the answer was "I couldn't have said it any better." I ran like lightning, leaping several stairs at a time to find the below shown message on the trailer hitch.

BTW I was number 3 of 5 cheated.

Roger, that's an interesting idea. Unfortunately she was a woman of the (Soviet) old school. Let me show you another photograph of that friendly looking woman, pictured in post #34. I am positive that'll take your mind off things. It conveys the impression that she preferred the hard way.

I understand what you're saying about an online registry on this site. but I recently bought a copy of the 1991 pakcard registry printed by R-Mac publishing. That should be the starting point...

The PackardInfo owner registry has been started with the first registered car and to my knowledge it makes no claims of being complete. Now, years later it could be a hair late to define another starting point.

It bears repeating. Thank you Mal.
