Welcome to the PackardInfo puzzle corner, admission is free, any possible revenues will be used for the benefit of PackardInfo.com, the most comprehensive free online reference for Packard owners, supported and funded by user donations.

Riddle 1: N A M E wanted!

Rules

A) first come, first served

B) interposed questions welcome
First YES/NO-answer costs a dime, the second answer costs twice as much as before etc.
Take care, that's a quadratic function; e.g. the fifth answer already costs $1.60!

First photograph costs a dime, the second photograph costs twice as much as before etc.

D) asking for another revealed pieces of the puzzle welcome
First piece costs a dime, the second piece costs twice as much as before etc.

F) misname the man welcome
The first time costs a dime, the second time costs twice as much as before etc.

G) disregard the right of way welcome
The buyer always has two turns. That means after getting an answer / photograph / puzzle piece / hint the buyer has 24 hours time to guess the name, to buy again or to relinquish.
The first violation of this right of way costs $5, the second violation costs twice as much as before etc.

I wouldn't count on Japanese voices of the approval. The NYSE listed company Toyota is the worldwide third biggest industrial corporation not despite but because of its 522 daughter companies. I hope you feel supported by the following real judgement of Solomon:

Toyota is another exception.

I thought Studebaker as a corporation was starting to be pretty well diversified in the early 60's. The auto division was just one of several was it not?...

Howard, Wikipedia lists --> several non-auto activities of Studebaker such as Clarke (Floor Machine Division), Schaefer (Commercial Refrigeration Division) and Trans International Airlines to name but a few.

Quote:
...By the early 1960s, Studebaker had begun to diversify away from automobiles. Numerous companies were purchased, bringing Studebaker into such diverse fields as the manufacture of tire studs and missile components...[wikipedia]

Thanks to the work of Brian (BH) & BigKev we are able to compare this with the situation in the mid-fifties. According to the --> company's 1957 annual report Studebaker was focused on car production at that time.

Don't know what you think but to me it looks like a big jump within short time (the difference between evolution and revolution consists of controllability).

Randy,

I hate to disillusion you but have good reason to believe that 2011 won't be the year you'll find a solution for your space problem. Three is one too much.

Body No. (?)- B33I84
Engine No. - K214923
VIN. - 2592 688I
Stamped on head - M 2 52

Cheers,

I would like to show you a wonderful parking area for your 200 Touring Sedan. Click on --> the link to find more than 750 Packards in rank and file.

BTW After watching the evening news report on the flood disaster in Northern and Northeast Australia it's reassuring to know that you live on the opposite side of Down Underwater.

Roger, embrassed but not completely incapable of acting I would like to show you two self-explanatory pictures of a Chaika, located in Hungary. You can't tell anyone, not even your mother but it is true... not the girls but the car was indomitable!
