Can you please show some detailed photos of the A/C installation for future reference?

It's "Henney" with a second E and I had always thought that the postwar long wheelbase cars prior to 1953 were Henney but something I read here on another posting said otherwise. Whichever it was, the taxis would have been the same and likely not all were long wheelbase models either.

It's important to make sure that the seats have been pressed fully into position and not rely on tightening the nut to do so. As for tightening, I typically tighten it until the drum takes some force to turn, then back it off until free. There are a variety of other ways of doing it too.

Thank you! Curbside Classic has an interesting article about the Mark IV which covers both the trunk type and the under-dash type, the latter of which has been reproduced by Vintage Air.

Factory A/C is in the dash for 1955 and 1956 but I am curious which aftermarket unit it had and whether or not it used the factory compressor. Any photos of the trunk unit and under hood components?

Annealing will soften them but it won't expand them once compressed too thin to be of any good use. In the case of brakes, replacing is far better than attempted refurbishing any day.

I would not even consider putting brakes back together without new copper seals where required. Sure, back when these cars were new and were unlikely to have ever been disassembled it was okay to reuse them but after all these decades and possibly many times being disassembled and recompressed, they are due to be replaced. They're cheap but lives are not so by all means replace them even if the supplier did not include them in their kit!

I agree. If your pedal is heavy, it would be far easier to find the reason and fix it rather than re-engineering it.

The green one has been for sale for quite a while as the price is far too high in its current condition. Tempting as it's not that far away but not at that price.
