53 Packard Brake Master Assy
#41

Tall Steve
All, I finally got the master cylinder apart. The back washer was corroded in place. Trouble is that I have one rubber washer that I am unsure of where it goes. The repair kit didn’t include a schematic. Please see the pictures below. It’s a flat rubber washer. I think it may go in first and the the spring. What day ye?

I need the front left brake line exiting the master cylinder. As well, I need the brass fitting that connects to the master cylinder and that brake lines attach to. Anyone help me out with those?

I had planned on rebuilding the rear brake cylinders. Got drums off and found that axle seal is leaking. Is this a problem to change? Where to find gaskets? Torque on bolts? Thanks

Just a thought from my experience...I have a 53 Clipper. I had up and down moment in the door. I ordered replacement hinges. Turned out to be loose hinge bolts. You probably already checked??

I have been wondering if there are other retail sources for parts than Kanter and Max Merritt?

Thank you once again. For some reason the wipers are not working as they did a couple of years ago when I pulled the motor off the engine bay to be painted. I remember that they were awfully slow and I was planning to rebuild the motor if it was serviceable. Thinking that I will start with the supply lines and replace them. Steve

What's missing on the right side of this wiper motor? Appears to be a vacuum hose or something. I am not finding a hose in the engine bay that is loose. If a vacuum hose, where does it originate from? Thanka
