NEW PRODUCT - White Glove Collection - Dual-Point Synchronization Plate
#41
Home away from home
Home away from home

LOL
Hi all,

I made this plate to help synchronize dual-point ignition systems. The plate fits on top / around the distributor, is made from brushed stainless steel and is marked in 5 degree increments.

Size:
Outside diameter = 5 1/4 inches
Inside diameter = 3 5/8 inches

Custom sizes available as dictated by the outside diameter of your distributor. Contact us for custom sizes.

Comes with dual-point synchronization instructions.

Here's the link:

Thank you,
Crin

I don't think this is going to make it to production. I have refunded the 7 orders. We'll try again on something else in the future. Thank you all.

Regarding beefing it up, I was thinking of adding more material in the direction of the red arrow. That would increase the resistance to the bending moment applied by the spring at the failure point (yellow arrow).

Looks like that would be viable since the spring fits over that end of the bezel and adding material in that direction would not be in the way of anything.

Yes. Absolutely. If you have one I can look at that would be awesome.

Hi all,

Just a quick update on this project. I received 7 orders. I need 3 more orders to proceed and a sample.

If we can't get a pristine sample, I can take any sample and duplicate it in CAD and proceed that way.

If I draw it in CAD I can potentially beef up the problem areas where the springs connect and prevent future failures.

Here's the link to the pre-order page:

Thanks,
Crin

Seven orders received.

Friendly reminder, we still need a sample part.

Hi all,

I have created a new link on my website that you can use to pre-order the bezel. I used the pictures that were posted here because that's all I had.

As soon as I have 10 orders and the sample, (thank you Don), I can start production. I will keep this thread updated as to how many orders I have received to date.

The pieces will be fully triple chrome plated as that seems to be the general preference.

All castings are made of a zinc alloy. I've used it for all my castings and have not had anything fail structurally.

Just a quick reminder that we still need a good sample to use as a template.

Hi,

I can definitely have them plated. Based on other items of the same relative size, I would say $25 would cover the plating.

That brings the grand total to $100 per piece fully plated.

Thanks,
Crin
