Well I got the Dual Steamer Heater out, not as hard as I thought it would be. Plus following packard1949 posthttps://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=23009&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0&start=0
Made things a lot easier.
Just took out the three screws from above. (See first photo)
Then went underneath the car and pushed up on the motor, I didn't have to worry about the hoses since there were none.
Next took the screws out of the frame and pulled off the top cover.
The Heater Core looks in pretty good shape.
Last photo shows a couple pieces that go between the core and the top of the frame, maybe to stop any rattles.

Yes OD but I'm thinking the fuel filter bowl
mounted at the carburetor and it's being sucked from there, never know.

There are two one way valves in the fuel pump one on the outlet side could be stuck open causing the gas to drain back into the the tank. Not to sure, if you have a spare pump (and if you don't good time and reason to get on) just swap them out and see what happens.

Got the front carpet out and cleaned up, ready to go back in. Looks like somebody was enjoying it around the base, also had to repair the rubber insert of the brake pedal, backing was missing so cut out a piece and glued it on. Still need to pull the heater and have it checked for leaks.

You don't say how long the car sets from the last time you started it. I've had no problems starting my car after setting a week.

Not sure what year you got but you can checkout the sales Brochure and checkout the differences of the different models.

Just a few questions before I'm finished. Does anyone off hand know the length of the power cable, so I can just make one and install. I know it just goes to the Key Switch and also where did Packard connect the ground. Yes I know Ground is Ground but if both wires were together, I'm just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head, before I go crawling under the dash and there goes my poor back again.
Thanks!

Good to hear, now that you mention it. I think I remember someone else had a problem were he found a piece of rubber or foam behind the brass disc and it was deteriorated so much that it was sticky like glue or something like that. I think all he did was add a piece of rubber also. Maybe someone else remembers this and can add more light to this.
You didn't say or I missed it, what year is your Packard?
So good going!

That's what I shoot for. Here's a short piece about the operation along with the Patent.
Thank!
