Thanks, Ernie and Chris. Chuck took the stills of the group and car owners.and it’s an Amphicar not an Aquaman. Plus we had a Batmobile.
If you refresh your browser and play it again, you’ll get music.

My first little tour in Potomac MD to White's Ferry, which takes you from Maryland to Virginia. The owners on each side are in a dispute over what to charge to cross the Potomac, so the two counties, one in MD and the other in VA, are trying to negotiate an agreement, too. Needless to say, the ferry is closed for now.

Being the only Packard on this tour, and one of maybe 3 pre-war cars, won the Duchess much attention. The instigator of the tour, Chuck McDonald has a Packard just out of the shop, but not road-ready this morning.

We had a demonstration of an Amphicar.

In case you got a page not found, Chuck changed the link to the still photos.

That might be a bit tough because you need 30.306, 326065 from another convertible coupe. '38 6 or 8, '39 6 or 120, '40 Super 8 160/180 110 or 120, or '41 Super 8 160/180, 120 or 110.

Check with the usual suspects including David Flack and David Moe.

Passport shipped the Duchess Oregon to Maryland last year. Enclosed. Same truck and driver the whole way. Right on time and money.

Not dumb, Don. That’s something I’d do.

Howard, thank you from me, too, but I’ve never pulled my OD out with the car moving. I would need a couple belts before I would be rolling along at,say, 40mph, floor the pedal to drop into the engine roar of passing gear, then reach down and pull out the OD lock out cable. Assuming this is the same for R9 ODs, has any braver soul actually tried this?

Steele rubber has the weather strip that fits in the stainless channel in the top frame. The channel itself is available too if missing. You also need to cover the rubber with bow drill cloth. It’s supposed to be self adhesive.
