Funny you should mention that! My first collector car was a 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible I bought it in the summer of 1989-The car was from NY which has no titles ( by the way I still have the car) it was an ABSOLUTE nightmare getting it titled in PA. Fortunately my father had a friend who was a notary and persuaded him to help me out. The only advice I can give you is find a friend that is a notary and be prepared for a long wait. If all else fails see your state senator they can also help. Hank Salvatore (now long gone) helped me get the paperwork squared away. No doubt dealing with PA's DMV is a nightmare!

Send that master cylinder to Ross Miller of the Speedwell garage he will rebuild it PROPERLY; whatever you do do not send it to White Post restorations!

When my engine was pulled by Ross Miller in Md a couple of years ago and detailed I had the 3 groove pulley (for cars with factory A/C) installed and I also have a 6 bladed fan that I purchased about a year ago. Ross told me he could make a bracket for the air compressor that would look factory when the time comes.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket a/c system on their car? I own a 1955 400 hardtop and wondered about either a vintage air or a classic auto air system.

You know I have to admit I was amazed at the fakery that has gone with supposedly custom built Packards from the classic era you remember the "LeBaron" phaeton a white car with the light eight radiator and the rear mounted tire with the pontoon fenders? Then there is the question I posed a couple of weeks ago about the 1939 12 cylinder Brunn all-weather Cabriolet, someone supposedly said 2 were made I was able to find 5 for sale one needing restoration one fine original and 3 older restorations. I guess the key phrase would be not so much buyer beware but buyer be aware and do research before bidding on a high priced item so that you know what your getting.

Well I did a little research on the internet (I have plenty of time on my hands now that I am retired) and found at least FIVE one unrestored needing restoration one fine original and three with older restorations!
