Well no there is no metal here , nor rubber .... more of a thick paper/cloth . Possibly a different part . I’ll post pics of what I have later .

Ok on a ‘49 .. in the Kanter book they sell the hood bumper rubber kit . They show some “square” looking things . Where do they go ? I have these square things but can’t place where they go ?

So I’m assuming that fuel filter was optional as well ? ...... with that where would the glass fuel filter located ? Down beside the pump ?

Ok so I was looking on my ‘49 and couldn’t find the oil filter . Figured it would have been up on top of the engine . After doing some searching I found out that oil filters were a option 😯😯?? Is this really true ? Gosh just can’t get my head wrapped around that ....
