Doh! You read what you want to read, not what it says!
I got the part numbers and contacted Jessica at Restoration Supply to place the order, she emailed back that she had no idea what I was talking about as those are not their numbers!?
I re-read the link and it is Restoration Specialties! I will try again!

I am not sure. I had mine done by KM Lifestyle and it had the female fitting on it when they sent it back.
That said, the line was new that I attached to it and there I used a compression fitting. I expect you can do the same with the female fitting on the sender units line too.
I did a 'belt & suspenders' thing too, with the tank being coated I did not count on the tanks body being able to carry the ground, so I added a ground strap to the sender unit and connected it to the frame once installed. All works well.

I expected they would carry it, so I looked through their catalogue first before posting the query, then again just now. I cannot see it. Do you have a page number or part number Kev?
I would still need to know the size as a search on line shows a number of different plastic tack strip cross sections to chose from.
Thanks.

Convertible Tack Strip- Rear Deck Area

I am sorry if this is a repeat, I tried a search a number of ways and drew a blank.
Has anyone installed a rear tack strip on a Junior Convertible? I suspect it is the same size whether a coupe or a sedan, as well I expect most pre-war cars world be similar, as you know, mine is a 37.
I am looking for height (top to bottom vertically) and depth (the depth that the nails/staples seat into).
The metal work has a lip height of 0.550" and a channel depth of 0.375".
Thanks very much

I got mine from a material supply store, it is cotton cording, sold by the yard. Very inexpensive. Wrapped it in my upholstery material and sewed it on my home sewing machine with the zipper foot attachment.

Welcome, you are in the right spot for your car.
Type '1950 Eight 2301 Touring Sedan' into the search engine, under the literature list will be your service manual PDF.

I noted too it was a very large and secure solder bulb, likely why they made such a deep recess. This wire is subject to a lot of torque, albeit mild due to the coiling of the wire, but constant and repetitive back and forth as you steer the wheel most of the time while driving. Make sure you do the same installing the new one. A 'cold' solder joint will fail. You want to see good melt and flow so polish the brass to a clean glow before you solder.

Great! Good job.
On mine that centre square area was where the wire was soldered on.
