Jerry,

I sent you a Private Message on this as well. Hope you can help? Years 1939-1942 Thanks.

Eric

Mal,

What I was going by is the two versions of shop manuals uploaded here. One covers 1937-38 and the other 1938-39. Since there is a crossover year there and the charts appear the same, I was assuming at least 1937-1939 are all the same. I know with many pre-war cars, the 1941 year is the same as the 1946 year. Not being able to see the 1940 nor the earlier years, can't tell if these groupings are correct? But just making an educated guess

Maybe BigKev's uploads will clear it up.

Just looked at a service book for the 1940 which only has a lube chart and frame outline and can see it is completely different than the 1939 so that means 1940-1948 "may" be the same? Keep in mind even though there is a string of 8 years here, 3 of them had no cars made. Possibly the 1940-1942 are the same and 1946-48 different... but doubt it being manufacturers were not retooling directly out of war production.

Looking forward to solving this and getting the charts...

Wow, that was quick service! Thanks.

I am assuming that these represent not only the 1937-38 Packard but quickly looking at the 1939 shop manual, they look the same for that year too? Then maybe 1940 also? 1941-1948 are different.

I saw the 1935 shop manual online but that is laid out differently and doesn't have the frames, a different kind of book? Are the 1932-1936 the same?

I have the 1946-1958 models Motor's Crash Sheets available and if you like, can get them uploaded here? I don't see them in the archives but do see shop manuals that cover those years. Possibly someone can use them as quick references?

Thanks.

Hoping people with 1930s vintage will have the shop manuals to make copies from - even if from the original ones posted here in the Literature/Manuals section to cover a few of the years. All I need are the "frame" chart pages, not the entire manual.

Thanks!
Eric

This may sound like an odd request but wonder if anyone out there has crash sheets or shop manuals for years 1932-1942 Packards (or other manufacturers)? I am seeking just the frame diagrams with dimensins from them, good quality copies or scans for a project I am working on.

If anyone needs the same for any Packard from 1946 on or any other automobile make from 1946 to 1958 and some later up to 1969, please let me know and I will post or send.

I found the shop manuals online but the pictures are too small and blurry to help with what I am doing.

Any help greatly appreciated. Can post or send private email.

Thanks!
