Perhaps a second apology would also be in order to

GREEN BAY MOTORS

if there is anyone out there to accept such an apology.
https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/dealer/View.php?ID=66

I apologize.

Mea Culpa!

"PACKARDS" bumper sticker - Apologies to Green Bay
#52
Home away from home
Home away from home

Daniel Leininger
Winter has been a bit long here in South Dakota, so in the final stages of "cabin fever" I thought of a DIY project and completed it yesterday.

Supplies:
2 - Green Bay "Packers" bumper stickers
1 pair of scissors

1. Cut out the "A" from the second sticker and stick it over the "E" on the first sticker.
2. Now make a "D" by
a. Cutting out the left half of the "c" from the second sticker.
b. Cut out the left half of the "R" from the second sticker ("K" can work also).
c. Reverse the "c" piece and put it next to the "R" piece to make a "D"
3. Place the these two pieces over the "S" to make a "D"

That spells PACKARD!

Option #2: Add the "S" end of sticker #2 to extend sticker #1 so it spells PACKARDS.

WARNING: Don't try this in stores. Buy 2 Stickers with your own money and TRY THIS AT HOME.

Like I said, it has been a long winter and I hope to soon be doing real Packard work instead of cutting stickers.

Glad you got it figured out and working again.

Quote:
The hardest part was lifting the starter in and out of the Clipper. I should have weighed it while it was off of the car. That is one hunk o'metal. (o{I}o)

Yes, even on my 41 Clipper with a 282, the lift over the fender, requires padding over the fender, a platform to stand on, a hand strap, and a good back.

JW,

I think 41-47 share this same battery.
Numbers for this style battery that I have recorded are:

3EH at farm stores
Delco 7210
NAPA 7210

The farm store battery 3EH is tyically 10% less in CCA rating than the expensive ones -- though personally I have used both successfully.

Mr PB (aka. John),

I caught the PHC show from Deeeee..triot city and enjoyed the acoustically-HUGH Fox theatre organ. It reminded me of being in the Fox theater in St. Louis Missouri as a kid. Those old theatre organs are more rare than Packards.

THEN, I found your 'off topic' thread and enjoyed hearing the show even more. Just knowing that a genuine Packard PushButton man was at the console 'pushin' the buttons is quite an "encore."

Thanks for the off-topic and the performance. Nice to know Packards are not your only obsession.

In South Dakota a law was passed in about 2008. Changing lanes and slowing down is required for any emergency vehicle or police car that is pulled over with its flashers on.

The above video is a frightening example of WHY!

Gregg,
I have never seen a roll-back trailer.
Tilt-trailers have always looked interesting.
Both could make for a much easier job.

Hey Ray,
What's working out for you on transporting your Packard?

U-Haul started to give me the same run-around (no Packards in the system).
I had the weight, wheelbase, dimensions data and the rental guy was very helpful. He entered the data into his computer and was able to use that to verify that their trailer fit those vehicle dimensions.

It helps to have a clerk that does not have to ask, "What's a Packard?" or "You said Hewlett-Packard?" or "Is it a Green Bay Packard?
