Hi Brian, I too wanted to look period with my battery that fancy and expensive tar top didn't last 2 years. So I too bought the best battery I could find. 4 years and still going strong!

If I had not pulled the pan I would not have even seen the sludge up in the valve chamber. Wouldn't have thought to look there. I would have thought gravitational pull would have placed it in the bottom of the pan. Good thing I looked up... lots of gunk to clean out. I don't understand why you would not do so for your prized "baby". I would want to know for darn sure! BHW

When I purchased my car I opted to have it delivered instead of driving it back.(From Conn. to Detroit.)I only drove it 335 miles till it went in for the body work. The oil looked clean. But when I pulled the pan during the resto there was 1/4 inch of sludge in it. And I cleaned out all sludge I could reach at that time. I also quickly did an oil change on getting it back on the road. Followed by another quick one and another new filter. I have not had any problems. My engine runs better than any car I have ever owned!

I understand the tires will expand some after they are unwrapped. But NOT three eights of an inch!

Thank you Fred. This I have done once already. It seems I need to send the ones they sent in replacement back too. As they also measure two and five eights!

So what do 3 inch wide whites measure? I had ordered 3 inch. I only get two and five eights inch. this has happened twice.it has cost me a month. The time limit on posting cost me a better explanation. What gives? The company is little to no help. And they agree they are not 3 inch! Brian
