They last posted on their Facebook page two weeks ago in mid-June and it seemed like they had quite a few cars in process, so I'd say that chances are good that they are still a going concern. I know that it's frustrating when you don't get replies from people, but with the way the year 2020 has been, we have no idea what kind of things people are going through in their lives. I'd say just keep trying to reach out to them.

This is very sad news indeed. I only knew Randy through his posts here on PackardInfo.com, but it was easy to tell that he was someone that you'd really enjoy having a beer (or other beverage of choice) with. Full of knowledge, and so cheerfully ready to share it with others, and a gentle humor. I will miss him and his posts. Godspeed, Randy, and my deepest sympathies to your family and friends.

Here's another one that could be called a body shop refugee. You might have to have a Facebook account to be able to see it. It's a 1956 Patrician, supposedly a monotone Norwegian Forest green with factory air. Not a ton of pictures with the ad. Hopefully someone can save this car. Ad says $4,000 and is located near Elkhart IN.

Thanks James. Does anyone know if someone makes these tops nowadays? If not, is this grain of vinyl commonly available? And for the color headliner, is it a separate piece of material, or does the underside of the vinyl need to be dyed?

Not to hijack this thread or anything, but I'd like to ask if anyone has a line on an authentic reproduction of the 1955 Caribbean top material. There are a few of us 1955 owners that are getting ready to replace our tops, and the last place that I saw offering reproduction tops is, I believe, no longer in business. I am hoping that Leeedy will chime in here.

Hi Steve,

All 1955 & 1956 Senior Packards (Patrician, Four Hundred, and Caribbean) had Torsion-Level suspension.

Yes, that's the base steering wheel you would get if you didn't ante up for the deluxe ivory banjo wheel.

Bringing back this thread from the dead...

I have a spare top frame because I needed one of these rear side rails for my 1955 Caribbean, and I have a buddy who needs the opposite side for his own '55 Caribbean. RJR, how did you manage to disassemble your top frame to swap out the broken piece? Anybody else have any experience with these? These are as rare as hens' teeth, so there's not a lot of margin for error...

Here's a weird one: Hiding behind a 1955 Lincoln convertible is a 1955 Caribbean in the factory blue themed tricolor, but the car's been retrofitted with 1956 reversible cushion seats. Asking $40,000 in the SF Bay Area.
