Tom (Packin31)
Kev,

Thanks for the response. I am having some parts coated with a chassis black and some with a higher gloss black. From there I will decided on what else I will get done. For the price it seems to be on the same level as having the parts painted by a shop or maybe a little cheaper.

I am doing this because now I can have the parts ready for when I reassemble the car and not have to worry about painting them. Even thou I like smell of the fumes.

This was another factor why I am trying it.

Have a nice evening

Powder Coating
Home away from home
Home away from home

Tom (Packin31)
Hi All,

I have been following a post on the AACA Gen Forum about Powder Coating.

I am having a few parts powder coated (brake/clutch lever and rods that are hidden under the car) to see how they turnout and may have more parts done if these parts turn out to my liking.

Has anyone else had anything powder coated done?

Any other comments I am open?

Thanks

Kev,

We have a pretty decent copy machine here at work that copies it right to PDF format. Is a PDF ok? If so I will bring books in tomorrow scan them and send them off to you.

We have a limit on file sizes we can send out through email here at work. So I think FTP would be the best way to go.

Keep on Motoring our Packards

Tom (Packin31)
Kev,

I have limited literature on Packards but I am willing to scan the Parts Manual (for models 726 thru 904) and Service Manual (for models 626, 633, 640, 645)I have and send it off to you. Is that okay for me to do that?

Does anyone have a copy of the Service Manual for the 8th series? If so I am willing to trade a copy of the 6th series for the 8th series. Or I will make a copy of the 6th series for you.

Thanks
Tom

Hi All,

Figured I login in here also to see what is going on here. As I can see Kev you have done some great work here. Now only if we can get some more PRE-WAR guys to donate some materials. I don't have much on my end for material to donate I just have a service Manual (which is not really for my year but at least I have some guide for fixing things) and a Parts guide which at least is for my year.

Kev and others keep up the good work you have here. It sure goes along way for others like me that don't have much to go on.

THANKS
Tom
