The information taken from page 6 of PDF file of the parts list states that info was taken from Studebaker Chasis parts catalog 1955-58 revised Jan 1961 I would assume this was the latest that would make 1956 cars approx. 5 years old most car companies don't usualy care about cars that old

If you go to Studebaker Golden Hawk owners page and look under parts list there is complete parts list and numbers and illustrations the oil pump is listed as part 6480508 its on page pictured page 62 of 323 and part number is on page 70. The view has all the parts of the pump and numbers for each part listed. hope this helps

This is one of the best car sites and definitly the best on Packards. 57 - 58 Packard (Packardbaker)

After reading this page for a while I will ask a question I know most real [Packard people) due not consider the 57 58 real Packards but I'm thinking of getting one I have a lot of Studebaker knowledge and practical experience dating back to late 1950s.After talking to my brother he mentioned the fact that we have quite a few Studebaker parts to help with a Packard/ Studebaker. This group appears to me to be open minded and caring more about their cars and fellow members than most of the other sites. Helping each other not about image. I like all cars but due seem attracted to orphans such as Studebaker, Packard, Kaiser , Henry J. Oldsmobile, and Amc
