Re: James's Black Friday 400

Unfortunately since I bought the 400 I did not have any room in the garage so it has had to sit in the driveway on the trailer. Over this past weekend I was able to talk my father into letting move one of my other cars to his house. The deal was I had to clean his garage so I couldn't pass it up. The hardest part was getting the 400 off the trailer and into the garage without any brakes, but I talked my pregnant wife to man the wheel of the 400 and she did a great job.

Here is a picture fo the BTV unit. I have not had a chance to put it in the car yet. At work we have a machine to test the vaccum section as well as the hydraulic section. The unit tested out great.

Here it is after a good degreasing and glass beading. Next I will acid etch it to get rid of the remaining rust and paint with high temp paint.

Thank you for the kind words. The driver side manifold is cracked on the 400. I took sometime this week on my breaks and was able to find a nice used exhaust manifold. Here is the manifold as I found it.

The power section was very dirty and caked with rust but now is cleaned up and ready to go.

Finally found some time to finish but the BTV unit back together. The reassembly went back together smoothly. I will be testing it at work on our machine before putting it back in the car
