I've always loved the 1941 Packard line ever since I can remember.
Seeing the 110 for $907., I wonder what Packard sold for $5550.?
Hope it would be equipped with the Cellarette option.
No matter, I'd fly to Detroit tomorrow for a new 1941 model.
I'm just 75 years too late:(.

Is your 1928 Packard white?
If so, that's one beautiful automobile!
I can envision that car roaring down Rt.49 at night with all lamps lit.
Of course that would be with the highway in its original concrete surface.
Babump, babump, babump, over those tar filler joints, love that sound!

Be careful if you decide to unbolt the front motor mount and jack the engine up. The fan blade may come into contact with the radiator, could follow with a radiator repair.
Please don't ask how I know this.

The NAPA 1080 filter is manufactured by Wix.
The Wix number would be 51080 for the same filter if this would help in locating a filter in Deutschland.

Well Fred,
I'm also an "old timer" as I am 75.
The old timer I was referring to, told me this back in the 1950's.
I was just putting this out there to ask if anyone else had heard of this.
Just a question .

Thanks for the Cellarette photos, what a quality piece of furniture or is it a appliance? None the less a very nice quality option.

While we're on the subject of battery charging...
Has anyone heard of causing damage to the voltage regulator while charging a battery with it connected in the circuit?
An old timer told me years ago that you should disconnect the battery cables while charging a battery. He said the charging voltage may cause the contacts in the voltage regulator to stick or fuse together?
I've always have disconnected the battery cables every since he told me.

I hope the engineer who came up with this idea to fix the problem, received a raise or at least a bonus.

My Packard also wouldn't go into reverse. on inspection I found a hose had come loose and fallen between the transmission linkage and a crossmember.
When trying to shift into reverse the shift rod would hit the hose and stop the rod from hitting the reverse detent.
Check for any interference and recheck the fluid level.
Just a thought.
