Be aware that the sending unit on 48/49/50 is some kind of thermal unit-not a resistance type-John Wolfe can repair them

you might try and google Drake Green Dupont-it does show a paint color which looks very much like the wheel drum in your picture

What is wrong with the ammeter? My ammeter in my 47 is stuck showing fully charge-another solution is a another ammeter wired into the circuit-not great solution when trying to keep orginal. I have seen this done on other cars-the new ammeter is put in a place where it is not noticeable. I will be following your progress.

Try Hirsch or SMS-they will need a sample of your material to match it. Both advertise in Hemmings etc. Hirsch was able to match the material in my 47 Packard. You might try fabric stores in your area-you might find something close and save some $$. It is a wool broad cloth. I was able to find something very close for my 49 Standard a couple of years ago

The wc13368/9 fit perfectly-it has 7/16 inlet. Just had the front brakes redone

I used the bracket HH describes and a universal coil-ran a black colored wire from front of coil to the armored cable and taped it up

I agree not difficult to redo-check out fabric stores in your area-as I remember mine was a tan wool fabric. The arm rest are a different matter mine were some kind of fake leather as well as the kick panels
