there is allways a possibilty that car never had 2x4s on it,being special ordered in black,and no trim code stamped even the interior color was special ordered ,,and if it is a original stick shift car with od,might have been ordered with one carb??,,very good possiblity ,sad no one knows what the no.s and letters on firewall stands for ,or we would all know

i believe with manual brakes,the pedal is thru the floor,but with power brakes,can do it ,and if u notice that cars trim code is blank,,car must of been a special order for someone ,and does anyone know what the mumbers on the firewall stand for??? hope someone out there knows ,let me know ,,thanks

ur right, on very little rust ,being a california car,,one reason to buy it,it does have the T L suspension on it,and also it has no power options no power seat,windows,brakes,steering,living in the rust belt its a pleasure work on this car ,in its condition

i dont believe the factory had anything do with any conversions, if they did im sure they would have the hood with the scoops, i believe people wanted the caribbean look ,and spent the extra money to have few pieces of chrome added and a little paint,,, i have a 55,400 with the 56 chrome on the sides ,it was a left over 55,,guy wanted the 56 look to buy it, lets face it anyone can add teh few chrome strips,who would know the difference,

this car is located near the 911 site in pa,now,i bought it because it had the twin spotlights,and the extra chrome on the quarter panels,,anyone out there like to donate any extra parts to this project,i sure would appreciate them,,thanks,,joe
