Elated is a bit of an overstatement. I expected nothing less. But after almost 40 years in the hobby, I have experienced a couple of suprises. Just pleased this wasn't one of them.

Finally stopped raining here in Chicagoland and we had beautiful 65 degree spring day. Time awaken the '53 and bring her home from storage. Daughter number 2 was in the chase car and took some "action" photos.

I think you said Ralph (The Radio Guy) was local to us in Chicagoland. The radio in my '53 gave up the ghost 2 years ago. Toying with the idea of doing the solid state AM/FM conversion but would like to keep it 6V. Can you PM or text me Ralph's contact information? Thanks.

Thanks Howard. I called Kanter and they are a little higher priced now. I will try Steele and see what they say. The link say 3 weeks turnaround. Also, Max Merritt offers them at the same price as Steele so I will call them. I had no idea they would be this pricey.
