The Boston 120 is giving the "post deleted by author" message, so I reckon we can assume that a deal has been struck to purchase it. It was/is a damned fine looking ride.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

My bog-trotting ancestors put on lace curtain airs.

Thank Gawd for the Germans to balance it out a bit.

That is a good looking 120, and Wat wants a pre-war but is holding out for a 160.

Wat's 120 is a '46 Clipper Deluxe.

My 282 got 9 and small change on it's first half a tank. Didn't trust the gas gauge and refuse to push. I fill it to the brim, so I know that I'm consistent there. Damn thing takes a long time to fill. The engine has a bit over 300 miles on its rebuild, so I don't expect much. And those miles are around town. After saying all of the above, I have no conclusions.

Have Fred train the front porch cat to scratch out one of the delieryperson's eyes when this happens.

Like as not, these cats will never meet. Fred is a western KY girl, and Front Porch Kitteh is a central VA girl. They have maybe 650 miles between them.

Crappy weather this weekend, so likely no car stuff will get done. There's a list of inside stuff to do for Fred's sister, Ethyl.

I suppose that this manifold only accepts a WCFB . . . .

The carb arrived safe and sound. They failed to put it into the package box, but my next door neighbor is pretty cool and very helpful, and I asked her if she'd mind putting it in the box for me to keep it out of sight. She did. I took her some roast beef early this morning.

Now we have a four-barrel manifold coming week after next, it looks like. It won't fit into the box, so the front porch cat (no kin to Fred) will have to guard it.

Thanks, Mal. I had kind of assumed that it was for a 327, and that it might work on a 288. By that time, the GM boys had standardized enough stuff (I think) to increase inter-changeability.

Question becomes, will it retrofit to a 356, or can it be adapted? That's going to have to do with what the spacing is on the intake ports and so on. Fastening likely can be fashioned. Then, what carbs will fit? The holes look awfully dinky.

I thought the price was okay, so I bought it anyway and will play with it to see what's what. That's the luxury of having spares.

According to the UPS email I received today, my new old carburetor arrives tomorrow. Now, if they can just follow instructions and put the damned thing in the packages box on the front porch.
