Here's what the 49_Carburetor Training Book says.

Chris, if your planning on removing the hub yourself, do a search and you will find a lot of good information on pulling a wheel hub, somethings easy but most of the times hard. I even did a video removing mine, using a hyd. puller.
Best of luck!

Dell, sorry I had thought I had sent you a PM but I guess I didn't, I will try again. I've been having back pains so not too much crawling around in the car. Thanks, on the Spacers but I'm good.

Yes Kevin your right, it doesn't matter which way you have your leads (just as long as you know what your looking for), only to us old guys who are used to an old analog meter with a needle that would peg out when connected backwards. Oh the good old days!
Little humor (very little).

Don't know how close the 47 and 50 are but they do look similar. So here's a photo of what to look for after the Steering Wheel is off that Howard was talking about. I tried pulling mine off before removing the spring and collar the bearing is under the collar.

Did you checkout my Blog "Wes's Maroon 1947 Custom Clipper"? I have just shown pulling out my Steering Column.

Do you have a Multi-meter, if not this is a good time to get one and they're not that expensive, just make sure it has Alligator Clips to go with the probes and download a wiring diagram for your car.

Mark Graber, I got the washers today, Thanks!
I can tell how much progress I've made or haven't made by looking at how far down the list of other Blogs my Blog is. So it looks like I need to get busy. For what turned out to be, why my shift levers didn't look correct to what appears to be an overhaul of the Shifting Assy. Well after this, it should be good for the rest of the time I own it.

Got the Shift Shaft back together, everything nice and smooth. Still need to clean up the Steering Column. Had to make another divider for the firewall. I'll scan a picture later after I get it cut, so if anyone else needs to make one they will already have a pattern. I'm using Black Sintra 12" X 24" X 3MM (0.118") Foam Boards, that I got from Amazon, Howard was the one who told me about it. Found this just to refreash my memory:https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=19159&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0&start=10

So that's the latest update, hope everybody is doing well and staying well.
And Mark what do I owe you, those washer look great. Thanks Again!
Wes
