Just posted on FB Marketplace a few days ago. Very nice original 1946 Clipper Eight sedan. I really like this one and it looks like a good buy. Ad states only 24K original miles. Dayton, OH.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1465975210800858/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1956 Clipper Deluxe Sedan. Ad states it is a '55, but it is a '56. Unrestored. Located in VA:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/308116815480390/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

Very rough 1941 120 Club Coupe. Parts or street rod material. Rust doesn't look too bad, but glass is missing, and interior is completely gutted. MO location:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1512844272844528/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1952 Mayfair. Nicely restored in Carnation over Ivory but has a modern V-8 under the hood. Looks stock otherwise. Also in MO:

Charles: Agree. These two cars are almost indescribably filthy, but I actually see this in online ads more often than you would think. Cars covered in mildew, dead leaves and other debris. Makes for a good derelict cars photo shoot, but not if you intend to sell it. But some people are apparently too lazy or unmotivated to make the effort. Or maybe they think that that "barn find" look will attract more buyers. I hear this term all of the time as if it is something desirable. Most of these so-called barn finds should probably be left in the barn.

Mention flood damage and I am going to run in the opposite direction. I formerly worked as a driver for a used car auction company. I recall one time, I had to get into a flood damaged BMW which apparently had been shipped up from Florida following a hurricane. The car was full of sand and actually had clumps of dried seaweed stuck to the seats and even the headliner. This thing must have been completely submerged in seawater, possibly for days. It stunk like a dead fish inside. The car was literally dying as I struggled to drive it up onto the auction block and the warning lights on the dash were all flashing like Broadway on opening night. Couldn't believe that anyone would actually bid on this wreck, but it did sell. This was a dealer only auction, so I hate to think what happened next. The dealer probably polished it up and sold it to some poor sucker. What a nightmare.

Probably not good, which is why the seller did not post any interior pictures. I would be afraid to buy either one of these flood cars, unless I wanted them just for parts. Water probably got into the engines, so everything is now rusted and seized. Interiors and electrical systems probably also ruined. You will never get the smell out of a flood damaged interior. Mildew stains will be everywhere. These cars look like they might have been underwater for days.

Was online on FB Marketplace this morning and spotted a few new ones that looked interesting. All are on the West Coast:

Just posted today: 1939 1703 Super 8 sedan with dual sidemounts. Needs general restoration, but looks really solid. Oregon:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/875343180993046/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1956 Clipper Super Panama Hardtop. Solid and complete barn find, but will need total restoration. WA location:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3597062847203565/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

Anyone looking for 1937 sheet metal: 1937 Super 8 Sedan in CA. Stripped out shell but looks like a lot of the sheet metal is useable.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1326304261254969/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1948 Sedan (think it is a Deluxe 8). Flood damaged. Seller also has a 1956 Clipper in similar condition. CA:

1948:

1956 Clipper Sedan

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/805894534619993/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1935-1956 Packard assorted sheet metal: Looks like this guy has some good stuff which might help with your restoration project:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/836353217772067/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1935 120 Sedan: Abandoned Street rod project. Sheet metal looks decent. '35's are pretty rare. This is the Touring Sedan model with the external trunk:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1080467799784242/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

1956 Patrician: Rough project car, but intact. Looks like the seller also has a 23rd Series Sedan, believe it is a Standard Eight:

Just posted to Craigslist within the past hour. 1954 Patrician LWB sedan, Body No. 5451. Abandoned restoration project. Looks like much work was done. Body is in primer. Was originally solid black (Scheme X). Car is complete. Seller is only asking $5K or best offer. Daytona Beach, FL area.

https://daytona.craigslist.org/cto/d/port-orange-1954-packard-patrician/7689080867.html

1950 Standard 8 Sedan. Very nice original car, in same family for many years. Interior looks virtually mint. Ad says 24K original miles. Only $12K. New Jersey:

https://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/cto/d/howell-1950-packard/7686055212.html

1953 Patrician. Ad says it is a '51 but it is a '53. Beautiful original paint car looks stunning in solid black. Ad states 33K original miles. Asking $12,500. Maine:

https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/hampden-1951-packard-patrician/7686173197.html

1955 Clipper Deluxe Sedan. Restored. Two tone green and white. Georgia:

https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/d/dallas-1955-packard-clipper/7681875717.html

1951 Patrician. Ad states that it is a '48, but it is a first year Patrician. Has been sitting in a field for over 15 years. Interior totally shot, but body looks relatively straight, and most trim is intact. 1952 cormorant hood ornament. Asking price of $4,500 is a bit much, however, given the car's rough condition. Texas:

https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/d/lavon-1948-packard-ultramatic/7686992854.html

1949 (22nd series) Standard Eight Sedan. Restored, but paint scheme (white over dark blue) and interior are not correct. But does look like quite a bit of money was spent on this one. Very clean and has nice chrome. Vancouver, B.C:

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds/cto/d/surrey-1949-packard-currently-collector/7688872689.html

1950 Custom Eight Sedan. Beautiful, rare Packard; only 870 Custom Eight sedans were built in 1950 and only 810 were built in 1949 as 23rd series cars. Looks sharp in solid black. Has Ultramatic Drive. San Bernadino, California:

Couple of new ones I spotted today on FB:

1937 115C Touring Sedan. Barn Find, needs everything. Car located in Indiana. Data plate shows that the car was originally sold by the John J. Scanlon agency of Meriden, Connecticut. This was my hometown growing up, so I was pretty excited to see this. In 1953, Scanlon's gave up its Packard franchise and switched to Chrysler-Plymouth. They later moved to another location in town and the building became the site of a Chevrolet dealership. It was torn down in the 1960's and today, the location is the site of a city park. I once did some research on John J. Scanlon and he was an interesting guy. A real "pillar of the community" type, he was active in a number of civic organizations and served as Meriden's postmaster for many years (the town post office was located just blocks from the dealership). Scanlon passed away in 1956.

1954 Pacific: Nice restoration, recent engine rebuild:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/998723994757937/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

Rough 1952 200 Sedan in NY:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/816694576614812/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

Very rough 1956 400, also in NY. NY state inspection sticker from 1972 indicates last time it was on the road; car looks like it has been sitting outside ever since. Windshield knocked out. Probably just a parts car at this point. Interior is totally trashed, though the sheet metal actually does not appear to be that bad:

New one just posted today on this site: 1941 160 Super Eight Coupe. Very nice older restoration done by Hibernia Restorations of NJ back in the mid-80's. Still looks sharp. Attractive silver over blue color scheme.

Humanpotatohybrid. I have now had four Junior sixes: a '40 sedan, two '38's (coupe and sedan) and my current '39 Convertible Coupe. I just consider a 120 to be a big step up from the sixes with the longer hood and more powerful engine. After all it was the straight eight that Packard was really known for. I ended up buying my car because it was at least one of the years and color I preferred and had some options I really wanted, like the banjo wheel. But I still wish I could have found a 120 instead. 1938 and 1939 convertibles for some reason are very hard to find compared to other years, especially 120's, and the few I was able to find were usually pretty bad conditionwise. The last one I looked at before buying mine (another '39 Six) was really horrible; there was literally more bondo than body. Mine at least was quite a bit better, but still has some issues that I'm not happy about. Since I really can't do much work on cars myself, it would just make more financial sense to sell mine and buy another car in better condition. And another issue is that my car, being a '39, has the column shift and I really don't like it. The driving experience with a floor shifter is just much better in my opinion. Unfortunately, '38's seem to be virtually non-existent. In about 25 years of looking, I have only been able to locate three '38 120 convertibles and all three of them were scrap. So you have to take what you can get if you particularly like a scarce year or model. You might not find another one for a long time.

Bob J. Yes. I would agree that a 1937 120 Convertible is the Cindy Crawford of Packards. Or maybe the Jean Harlow if you wanted to pick a Hollywood star from the era when these cars were being built. From the photos you attached, it looks like you at least had a relatively solid car to start with. I have seen much worse cars being restored.
