Thanks for the ideas! I guess I can soak, then stretch it onto the car, and then let it dry in the sun.

Before going too crazy with cleaning, I dropped the top and checked how the top Boot fits.....it must have shrunk some over the years. I couldnt button it all the way across.....I might leave it in the sun and try on a warm day, because now it is too small. It is cloth, not vinyl.
I could button about 2/3 of the way across, so it isnt too too small. Not sure if I will be able to stretch it out somehow.

First two cleanings were with some citrus based upholstery cleaner. That got a lot of dirt out, but not those two big stains. My uncle thinks that might be quaker state he used to keep in the trunk....tonight I tried some marine clean from the por-15 linup, but it didn't seem to help too much. I guess I need something that will dissolve the oil, but not kill the fabric.

If I get the top working, I'll need this cover. Persinning is the german word, I forget what the proper english word is. Boot cover or something? Mine looks like it came out of a cow's throat, or cow's other end.....
This was the First photo with all the dirt, I'll go through a few different cleaners and hope I can get it looking presentable soon.

I put in the one new line with 5/16 cunifer pipe.
Cut, deburr, flare, bend, and it looks like things are sealed up now.
I cleaned things off with brake cleaner, but you can still see where some atf came out, guess that will prevent rust there.

Yes, a pool of atf will keep rust away and is much better that brake fluid!
I found out that it was not the fitting leaking, but there is a rust/wear hole in the line itself from the transmission hump to the upper cylinder fitting.
I've ordered some 5/16 pipe, and will replace that line....

The fitting on the rubber hose at the Firewall just needed to be tightened a little bit. Now the lower fitting on one hydraulic cyl is leaking, I hope that is as easy to fix also. I'll get to that soon....inch by inch...

Aerated ATF looks just like homemade strawberry Jam!
The hydraulic cyls are bled and hooked up to the roof. On the weekend I should be able to try out the whole thing. However, I found one leak I need to repair. I guess this is on the pressure side of the pump. Hope I can just tighten it down. Now I need my fuel tank back from being rebopped.
Thanks for the advice on the fill process!

I already bought the cylinders from hydro e lectric in Florida. I was surprised that they were not so expensive, but it might be a common part for many cars, and not just packards.
